Hi Guys
Can someone throw some light on this for me please. Up until recently my email was working fine - both sending and receiving. However recently it won't send emails and I get the error message up saying something about smtp.live.com
When I first got the iphone, I just set up the email by adding account, Other>Hotmail and took it from there and it worked fine, but now it doesn't for sending?
The settings I have are:
Incoming Mail Server:
pop3.live.com
User Name: ***
Password: ***
Outgoing Mail Server
SMTP: smtp.live.com
User Name: ***
Password: ***
Use SSL: On
Any ideas pleeease?

MIght sound obvious, but have you changed your password to your Live mail on your PC/Laptop? If so you'll need to update your iPhone mail settings.

delete that account from the iPhone and re-add it using the 'Exchange' settings from here:
http://windowslivehelp.com/solution.aspx?solutionid=6ae4b9c2-1c01-4e9c-bdc5-12da8728f4c2
that should get it working and will give you push email, (if you just want your email to sync then only leave 'mail' turned on in the last step)
they even have a handy video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q7CSV7gh0-g0 -
Thanks everyone x
