Phone them up and say your going to quit if they don't fix it they will be straight out. They shouldn't charge you any way.0

Another bit of advice that I should have said, is whenever your Sky box goes wrong, switch it off, unplug it for a few minutes, and try again."I'm not even supposed to be here today."0

Just because you are subscribing to SKY doesn't mean the box is under warranty. Personally I think SKY should cover the equipment as long as you are paying them a monthly fee.
Shouting at the tech support staff will not help matters - they will probably put the phone down on you.0 -
turning it off and then back on will reset the box, if its under 12 months they come out for free, and even change your dish and box if needed free of charge. ring sky free on 0800 051 2595 for those of you who are out of the 12 months ring them and ask to cancel first they'll ask you why you want to cancel you tell them because you don't want to pay the 65 quid for them to come out and mend it, and you can't afford a new box for 99 quid, they then in turn say they'll do it for free
Pls be nice to all MSer's
There's no such thing as a stupid question, and even if you disagree courtesy helps.

Sky + is full of problems re:- BBC WATCHDOG, featured twice now, When I was a sky customer and my digi box went wrong I just said the magic word "cancel", charge withdrawn box sorted.
Just a thought, buy a twin tuner freeview box with built in hard drive. one off payment no monthly bill, limited programs but hey how much mind numbingly bad TV do you want to pay for and feel obligated to watch."Imagination is more Important than knowledge"0
