Texaco

Hi everyone, I have a Texaco CC which expires this year and I want to cancel it, however when I phone CS the line is dead, there doesn't appear to be a website anymore, can anyone enlighten me on how I can cancel the card. :confused:
My target for this year is to pay off my last CC and reduce my loan as much as poosible

  • there should be an address on your monthly bills from them, send a letter to them in writting telling them to close the account.

    If you can find out the bank behind the card you could contact them via the phone probably.

  • Hi Goldmercury, I have had the card since May 2005 and I have never used it so no statements, I think they are owned by LLoyds TSB but not certain, thanks for help.

  • I agree that Texaco was a brand owned by LTSB.
    Some time ago they brought a lot of cards like this in house so if you have not already had a replacement LTSB credit card I would suggest that the account is already closed.
  • Thanks ejones999, I have had a LTSB credit card for over 20 years but I have never rceived any literature telling me that the Texaco card was of no use or cancelled. I have sent away for credit reports so there may be some info in them.

    Give their card services a ring.They could for instance have amalgamated your limit onto your LTSB card.
