I think i am not dreaming......
Last year when i paid my annual water bill to Thames water i am sure i paid 10 installments by Direct debit
This years bill only allows you to pay the annual bill with
1, 2 or 8 direct debits.
If that isnt an underhanded way of increasing prices i dont know what is.
Anyone else noticed this ?

Reading your message made me look at my bills for this and last year. The payments are over the same period (8 months), but the price has gone up 21.33%!!!
Obviously the shareholders need new jags this year!!! (Robbing B******S)How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

How many direct debits there are is immaterial, the bill is still the same extortionate amount.
You do however get less time to pay it with less DD's.

yeah the dds are a pain! Ours start in april for this year and we're moving out in July. I asked them to change to monthly but they wouldn't, offering only 8 (the current), annual, or 6 monthly. So what I'm gonna do is cancel the dd after 2 months, when it will have paid our bill for the 3 months we'll be left in the house.0

Yorkshire Water have been doing this for years and it is spread over eight months.0

I pay by instalments through a payment book. The new year's prices have gone up by £7 a month! Outrageous."When you want something said, ask a man.
