We have a Renault Scenic, a T reg. It has 137800 miles on the clock. It needs a new windscreen wiper motor, and we were told on Thursday the head gasket has gone. There's a funny knocking noise too....we're not sure what that is!!

Anyway, we're not going to repair it, and have bought a little runaround for £300 (money is VERY tight, but a car is a necessity). A fella down the road has offered us £150 for the Scenic. Bearing in mind the problems listed above, should I say yes please, or should I say no and list it on Ebay? I'm to let him know asap, so opinions gratefully received!! Thanks!

It's at least £220 for a scrap car over here in Essex, so would not scrapping it get you more cash?

If its driveable (you don't care anyway . it's going to its maker), it should be worth £180 at the gate.
