lloyds tsb ppi reclaim

Hi all

I was just wondering if anybody had any experience with a PPI reclaim from Lloyds TSB. I sent my claim in back in June and they confirmed to receiving it. Since then I have made a number of calls and then on 14th September 2011, they said they sent me an acceptence letter, which I never received. They said they couldn't re-send it, as it was not allowed and I would have to accept over the phone. I was a bit unsure about this as without a letter, I wasn't sure as to what I was accepting, but they said they we offering me 100% compensation + 8% interest. They then went on to say I would be getting a calculations letter shortly in the post, but every week nothing comes and every week I call them asking for it. They keep saying, it will be with you in the next week and there is a back log of sending letters, but nothing ever arrives!! Does anyone know how long it takes to receive this letter or who I can complaint to, to get them to do something.....

There are ways of re-sending it - it is probably just that their systems are not up to it.

I think it might be wise to call FOS and explain that they say they have sent it but nothing has turned up. This is because if the letter gave a six month deadline to complain to FOS the clock is now running and you do not want to miss the opportunity.

Back about a year ago on one of mine via Lloyds, I was informed by email that a offer letter was send a month before, I confirmed it never arrived and so they said they will send another.

However, that one never reached me either, so I explained in my case it was possibly the confusion with similar addresses to me, where the one postie tends to get ours confused a lot with the next street down from ours, and the family are away for months at a time.

I asked them because of this, if they would kindly email it to me by attachment, and they did finally agree.

I suppose it was just the one off, but they should have a copy of the letter/acceptance they previously sent to you.

Hope this is resolved soon, good luck.;)
