My reference for PPI Claims

Hi All,

After reading many threads on here I have decided to try and reclaim PPI.

I believe I have 4 claims currently.

Additions Direct
Catalogue Shopping - Shopping Insurance
I believe at the time I was sold this I was only working 11 hours a week so would not have been able to benefit from the Accident/Sickness/Unemployment section but can't remember when I started the credit account and have no paperwork.
This account was closed last year.

Choice
Catalogue Shopping - Shopping Insurance
Had this account since I was about 18 (hundreds of years :)) closed it last year so need to find out when I opened it and my situation at the time as to whether I would have needed the insurance.

Barclaycard
Credit Card - Payment Break Plan
Can't remember when I applied for this card and have no original paperwork.
So need to find out when I opened it to see if the insurance would have been something I would have opted for at that time.
Account still open and payments for PPI still being made.

Alliance & Leicester (now MBNA)
Credit Card
Account still open.
Believe I cancelled PPI a couple of years ago as I was trying to reduce payments.
Have no original paperwork so need to find out when I applied for the card to see if my situation would have benefitted form PPI.

Initial letters writen to be posted Recorded Delivery tomorrow.

I don't expect to recieve any repayments as I have no original paperwork.
I will from now on file all paperwork away and not destroy or lose.
Pay as much as you can in 2011- £3688.54/£6000
Pay as much as you can in 2012 - £3190.96/£6000
LBM - August 2010 - £19202.30
Current - August 2012 - £11803.68
Paid so far - £7398.62

    Hi there

Wishing you luck on your reclaiming.

How old would be the oldest one would you say?

They should hold details of your accounts going back at least the last 6 years, so even if settled/paid off within that time they may still hold some details.

It maybe worth you contacting them to ask as well, good luck.;)

  • Hi o2bfree.
Did you ever get anywhere with trying to claim PPI from additions direct? I'm in the same boat, trying to claim but don't have any paperwork and nobody seems to want to help.
