Re-taxing after SORN

Hiya,

I took my car off the road a while back with a SORN but now want to re-tax it only I can't find my V5 cert or my letter saying it was successfully SORNed :doh:

Just wondered if anyone knows whether I can use the reminder they sent me in June at the Post Office to renew now despite the SORN in the meantime or do i need to go to the local DVLA office and do a V62 etc?

Any help appreciated.

pretty sure you can use the old reminder as I enquired about taking a car off SORN a while back, i was just told to take the paperwork (reminder / V5) to a post office and buy tax

Just phoned DVLA & apparently the reminder has already been used to do the SORN so can' t be used again so need log book or to wait for next years reminder. I need the car ASAP so it looks like I'll have to try to get to my local DVLA office to sort it- bit annoying as they're only open mon-fri 9-5 & I need the car for work which happens to be at those same times so don't know how I'll do it
