Hello all
I am currently with virgin for my TV, phone and broadband. TV is freeview or M package, phone is 'free eve and weekends to 01 02 numbers that I pay extra to have, and broadband is XL
My bills are averaging out at £48 a month. When I ring up I am always told its my extra calls that are costing me....my question (s):
Is it worth leaving at I have mobile phone to use as a home phone, freeview is free anyway and Im in effect paying for broadband only
Is it worth me trying to haggle...and what am I actually haggling for?
Years back (before nynex was installed) we had a BT landline, its not been used for a very long time, do I need a new one installing?
Im so confused as I cant afford that bill each month when I have free calls with my mobile anyway and Im not a HUGE user of the internet....please can anyone point me in the direction of what I need? or want>?! or anything?!?! _pale_
I have considered getting rid of the lot and getting a mobile dongle...what are thoughts on these please?
Thanks in advance!!

Definately haggle. I pay that for phone unlimited, TV XL, decent broadband and a V+ box. In fact, I got the V+ box free and no monthly charge about a year ago when I phoned up to see what they could offer.
Check what you'd pay with someone else eg Sky and use that to start your call.
Make sure you get put through to disconnections, not the general customer services.0 -
So stop making exclusive calls, or switch to an Anytime package, usually about a fiver extra.
The BT line will require reconnection (not reinstalling), which is chargeable. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
It won't make any difference - if you take TV you must have the phone service, or not have it and pay for it anyway. The real cost of a triple-play user is minimal.0
