  • I would say 99% of Lidls stuff is gorgeous, including their Christmas cake! I love that shop and usually get the long narrowone from their at Christmas. Cheaper than making one, and wer'e not that fussed anyway.

The chocolate covered marzipan bars are addictive!
    1,2 & 5p: Christmas day food £9.31
    10 & 20p: misc savings £2.70
    50p: Christmas presents £3.50
    £2: holidays £2.00

I keep seeing those marzipan bars but kept well away. The little mini stolen bites are yummy too! I have tested those.

The stollen and stollen bites are great at Lidl. Get them every year usually. Not luxury but tasty :)

In Aldi the stollen is £1:99 for the 750g slab and £1:99 for the 350g stollen bites, which seems an expensive way of ending up with bite size pieces

Aye I know that's why this year am gonna buy the full stollen cut into slices and butter it . Have always bought stollen for my dad every xmas and that is how he eats it and it is deliciuos but it has to be real butter! He's 82 and a fine figger of a fella so ........ !!!!!! the calories for once.

I personally think lidl xmas puds are the best, loads of fruit cherries and nuts!

Defintely a lot of nuts in their Christmas Puddings. We're not a fan so we buy our Puds from Tescos now. Love the range of German Christmas biscuits in Lidl though.
