Toilet filling up very slowly until bathroom tap is switched on
Can we have a picture if the inside of the cistern please as i've experienced this problem once before with one particular brand of inlet valve and it was down to a small tear in the washer.
This is probably competely off topic and unrelated but i came across the exact same problem in a nursing home earlier this year. On the top floor 3rd of the home there was a self contained flat which housed the matron for overnight stays. There was a positive pressure pump fitted and when the toilet was flushed very little happened but when a cold tap was opened it gave the pump a 'kick start' and the toilet filled really quickly, absolutely nothing to do with your probs but just saying as this story reminded me of that.
