Advice on switching suppliers

Although I am pretty savvy and run a financial (stoozing) website that Martin sponsors, I have never swapped utility suppliers. I have read Martin's article and just wanted to see if anyone here could confirm that his article is pretty up tp date or can make any recommendations about reliable supplier and/or reliable comparison websites. I have spent the last month or so cutting back our usage of electricity which anyone who reads The Motley Fool may have seen me post about.

Any help or comments would be much appreciated. Thanks very much

They are all supposed to be up to date. However some of them will 'avoid'(e.g make it diificult) showing you firms like Ebico as they don't pay the site commission.

Do not enter what you pay by DD; only enter the kWh pa.

Bear in mind that the sole purpose of these sites is to get you to change supplier and thus make commission.

If you look at the price of Ebico gas you will probably find that the cheapest. Their electricity is pretty competitive; but not the cheapest.
