Talk Talk Customer service- does it exist?!

Indulge me in a vent please :(- I moved to talk talk for my phoneline and broadband a few months ago as it would work out cheaper. Since then my internet has constantly lost connection. Some days it takes 10 minutes to get online, and you can lose it again within 2! I am very busy and receive important emails relevant to a casual job regularly, so being unable to access these whenever I have a few minutes is not only frustrating, but could cost me money.

I contacted Talk talk and received a standard email with suggestions to fix the problem. Did them, nothing. Sent another email. Got a longer standard email with more things to try plus some questions to answer if was still not fixed. Explained was still not working and sent the answers to the questions over.

Got EXACTLY the same email asking the same questions! Ready to hurt my PC by now I have just sent back again the same response with the questions answered exhorting them to ACTUALLY READ my response this time?!

Three months with internet that won't stay connected is driving me insane. If I get the same reply again I'll have to remove myself from the computer chair immediately so I don't put my head through the screen.

Agree - register on the forums, and you'll get a better response than on the 'scripted' email or phone methods. Having said that, I called them recently with same problem as you. By the 3rd call, and being 'escalated' to tier 2 support, my frustration must have been evident because they reset my profile, gave me a new password, and it's been ok for a couple of weeks now.....

There's also a TT rep lurking on these boards soewhere....

    Hi Ninasmum,

We would be more than happy to provide you assitance with your issues should you wish to register on the TalkTalk Members Forum. Can you confirm fi you ahve tested alternative equipment at the test socket so we can rule out the router and any internal wiring from investigations?

mcjordi - There is an official escalation procedure for telephony support should you request to speak to a manager and thos should be adhered to. If you wish however feel free to join the Members Forum and we can investigate further.

Our internet connection used to drop out regularly too. Turned out to be a dodgy router. Have you tried a new one?
