Exel Parking Notice

Hello everyone. Back in July I received a parking notice, by letter, sent to my home address. It was from excel and it had CCTV pictures of my car entering an exiting a retail car park. It states that I exceeded the limit by 20 minutes on the previous Sunday. After reading MSE I decided to just ignore it, even though I was not the driver I even resisted the temptation to write them and say that I was not even the driver at the time in question. After several more letters, Toady I received a letter from their so called solicitors as their final “Notice of Intended Litigation”. I am in process of getting a mortgage and in any unlikely event if this goes to court it might damage might credit rating. Just wondering whether I should write to them stating the fact that I was not even the driver---or shell I continue ignoring!!!!-please give me some advice!!!!Or reassurance!!!!!I really welcome your advice

Just ignore them as it will never get to court and nothing will happen to your credit history. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

Seconded, there is no effect on your credit rating if you ignore this mail scam - it's the same as ignoring a series of phishing emails.
Have you seen the letter chains in the top thread? The Notice of Intended Litigation is there among the other letters, in 'PPC letters, what to Expect' so you can see what will come next.
Have you seen the Watchdog clip? Linked on 'welcome, please read before posting'.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

For it to affect your credit rating the following must happen:
1 - Excel take you to court (unlikely, after the last kicking they got)
2 -They win (again unlikely)
3 - You refuse to pay what the court orders within 28 days.
Carry on ignoring Excel and their pet debt collectors and ignoring the retail park which have been foolish enough to penalise customers for spending time (and money) in the range of shops available.0
