Item returned to seller problem

Options
Hi,

I brought a suit jacket off ebay, never turned up, contacted seller asking when it would arrive, he said he forward tracking number since item had been posted, no tracking number or parcel turned up, so i emailed again, and aprantly the item has been returned to the seller due to not being collected from the sorting office, now I did not get any attempted deliveries or cards, and he is now asking for me to pay £6 postage for it to be posted again,

Where do i stand with regards to this?

Many thanks

Jon

Open an item not recieved, he will have to upload to paypal a tracking number to proove delivery.

As he wasnt forthcoming with the tracking number in the first place before claiming it had been returned it smells of a chancer who hasnt posted and wants more cash, or maybe thats just the cynic in me

  • If you want the item again you'd normally expect to pay postage for it to be posted to you again.

But once you alert a seller about your parcel not arriving, they should check the progress of the parcel themselves or provide you with the tracking number so you have a chance to retrieve the parcel while still in your local sorting office.

Your seller didn't bother, and it appears you were only told about the parcel being returned to the seller only when you chased them up about that too.

Shoddy seller. I'd open an Item Not Received case. I wouldn't deal with them any more. There probably wasn't a tracking number either.

And when you get your refund leave appropriate feedback and stars.
