Will Insurance payout?

My dad, silly old fool nearly burnt his house down with him in it, what i want to ask would his building insurance payout? I ask this because i was looking over his policy and i dont see any mention of anything like this.
If they dont payout what would happen to the property and land?
He has tesco building insurance, which i think is part of norwich union.

No arson, just cooking a pie, but were on the policy would it say i know he just took out a basic(cheapest) policy, no accidental damage i think.:cool: :cool: misters :cool: :cool:0

You should be absolutely fine with this, a standard buildings policy will cover fire damage.0
