TV coming up with "No Signal" for BBC1/2...

Hi,
For a few weeks a relative's tv has been showing "no signal" for BBC1 and 2, and neither of us have any idea how to sort it. All the other channels on freeview are working perfectly and I'm reluctant to mess about with their tv settings in case I knock the whole lot of the channels off it and they're without a tv entirely (which I have done before
)
If it helps, it's a Samsung LE37R87BDX with built-in freeview.
I don't think their aerial is the problem as other tvs in the house are working fine, and I've tried disconnecting and reconnecting the things at the back but that didn't do anything.
Can anyone shed any light? I'm hopeless with things like this, esp. tuning tvs. Thanks!

You need to delete all the channels and retune. Sounds scary but it'll work.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

I'll bet they live in an area that's just turned off the analogue signal.
Yes, rescanning is the solution.I'm dreaming of a white Christmas.
But, if the white runs out, I'll drink the red.0 -
Last time I got a 'No Signal' I found that the aerial had pulled out. Never overlook the simple things.I'm Glad to be here... At my age I'm glad to be anywhere!!

If your relative lives in the Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire area then they will need to retune.
We have recently had the analogue signal turned off in Oxfordshire and it took 2 retunes to get all working ok as it was switched over in 2 phases, BBC2 first and then the other BBC channels.0 -
Rescan, it's simple. I do it regularly during advert breaks, it's more interesting. MENU then AUTOSCAN and leave it to do its work. It'll go back to BBC1 automatically.0
