My daughter wants to make a model cat out of salt dough. How long will it take to cook?

Have you tried looking on the activity village website or the All free crafts website, lots of ideas there, also the Family fun website, that's run by Disney, lots of ideas there too. Hope this helps.

I tend to leave them to dry as long as possible before putting them in the oven to finish them off. Do you have an airing cupboard or sunny window-sill?

Flatter shapes obviously dry out much quicker

how about stockings to hang on the Christmas tree - 2 x felt stocking shapes and some thick thread and big needles, children sew around stocking shape in running stich (i have done this with a mixed age group including pre-school) use extra thread to create a hanging loop. can have decoration added - i used pre cut holly leaf and red paper cut in a hole punch for berries and stuck on with glue. i also added a wrapped sweet before children took them home.
