Good thinking, risingLula is ideal for that as well, being a snow - it would show up well
But the vet nurse seems very efficient, I am sure it will be OK if I tell her when I take the little sausage in. Will be interesting to know if it is an extra charge or not though - anyone here know? Makes no difference as I shall still get her done midline, just curious really

I don't think there's an extra charge for that, Fridaycat. However, things do differ from practice to practice. I'd double-check upfront and avoid any surprises!
Speaking of unexpected charges...Sorry, but you are the cheeky one. Why does any business offer free check ups? To get you into the business to buy product or services off them - not to go to a rival. All businesses exist to make money and vets are no different. Maybe they could have been less snooty but I can't blame them for being upset.
If anyone was assured that a service was free, only to be charged for it after the event, they'd be a little bit miffed. I think it's unethical, especially when all they do at the weight clinic is pop the cat on the scales!0 -
Depends what happens at the weight clinic. We will weigh any animal that comes through the door but if you want my trained nurses or a vet to spend 20 minutes going through an individual diet plan and monitor your pets weight for free, I would expect that you are buying food from me.
Most, if not all vets will pop a cat on the scales for free but a proper weight clinic suggest much more involvement0
