been watching a holiday price we booked over 6 months ago DEPOSIT £ 650 with first choice - still 4 months to our holiday but for some reason it now seems cheaper -same holiday on thomson website is £544 dearer it must be a mistake beacause 3 other holday companies match thomson so much for booking early !!!
its been this way for a full week how do u stand if the total holiday cost comes down ??

Tough!
You were happy to book at that price.
Moral , book a holiday you are happy with , don't look at prices again.
PS if it had gone up , would you have jumped up and paid more?0 -
It's the risk you take when booking early. In return you are guaranteed a seat on the plane and availability of the hotel.
The price of package holidays changes on a daily basis, would you be willing to pay more if the price had increased?0 -

What a helpful comment -- not!
You have been given accurate information: why complain that someone has gone out of their way to do so.
Incidentally, some travel operators do offer protection against price reductions (if the price comes down after booking, they return the difference to you). Obviously this kind of deal comes at a price, but if you can't stand the thought that someone else got a better bargain than you, a deal like this might help you.
Anyway, are you going to let other people's good fortune ruin your holiday? Because that is the only choice that is left to you now.0 -

Honestly is tough to take .
Could have wrapped my comments up in mellow terms , commiserated with you and said how sorry I was ............ but it would be a lie!
Or you could have done your own research , this question has been asked and answered a number of times in the past0 -
we have done the same, booked earlier this year to travel next year, price has gone up and down since we booked. usually book several holidays a year and usually gain by booking early.at the moment the holiday we booked is slightly more than when we booked.its the chance you take.
at least you have got the flight, hotel you want, leaving it to book nearer departure date might have meant no availability.0 -
Our holiday seemed in principle to have gone down in price until you try and upgrade to PE and you cant. Well done to me for booking early - thats the extras that go first!!!

Packages nearly always come down in prices - a few years ago we got a last minute cheapy to the Canaries for something like £200 each. There was a "welcome" meeting on the first day and this woman was whinging about practically everything and mentioned they paid over £500 each and expect better etc etc. This was for the exact same holiday we got for £200!0

theres a lesson to be learned, once you have bought something at a price you are prepared to pay then stop looking
I can never understand why people do it to be honest.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0
