Contrived tenancy?

Thanks for all your replies
I am not dropping out, I'm taking an interruption of studies for a year as I would be unable to attend lectures for at least a few weeks after the baby was born and would also find it very difficult to then sit my exams just a few weeks later. I have discussed my options in terms of university with my personal tutor, lecturers and student support and have decided this is the best plan. I will finish my first semester, take a year out and then go back next year to complete my second semester.
In terms of amazing medical advances, being a medical student I am actually very aware of these, what a lot of people do not consider is the mental health of the patients who actually go through with terminations, personally it is not something I could cope with. Despite the fact I will now have to work a lot harder to complete my degree and to start up a successful career, I still feel this is the right choice for me. As they say, each to their own.
In terms of the tenancy, I have been back to the CAB and the lady there even phoned up the council to talk to someone for me, she's told me that as long as my brother is given a CTL and follows all the procedures that would apply to other landlords (gas safety certs etc) then I really should have no problem with the claim, especially as I am so well read on the subject. Luckily having phoned his mortgage lender about the CTL today, my brother was informed that in making their decision, his application would be treated the same as anyone else's, despite the fact he is a first time buyer.
Thank you to everyone for taking the time to give me your advice, it is very much appreciated.0
