Bailiff Removal Notice

Can anyone tell me where I stand ?

I had a speeding fine of £155 which i had an agreement of paying £20 a month until clear.
With only £45 left to pay I missed a payment and then received a letter from Marston saying that I now owed £120.
I tried to speak to the courts asking if i could pay the full amount in order to avoid paying the extra money. They told me that it was to late and I had to deal with Marston.
I called and offered Marston £20 a month but they told me they wanted the full amount or a Bailiff would be sent out and another £200 would be added to the dept, which is what happened.
I called them again when i received the letter with additional dept on, to plead with them and see if they could put me on some kind of plan but they just told me that I was still able to pay whatever i wanted off the bill but they would not call off the Bailiff and I would still need to pay the full amount.
I made a payment of £20 because that was all i could afford but today I had a visit and a Removal Notice was posted through the door.
I called the mobile number on the letter and asked if there was some kind of arrangement we could come to but he told me if the dept wasn't paid in full he would have no option but to take the matter further which could mean that even in my absence that they could remove goods by entering the property with a lock smith.
I live with my girlfriend in a rented house and everything that is in the house of any value is hers. Will they still be able to take it even if its not mine. ?

I work full time but its not a high paid job and i have around £15000 worth of dept that i pay just £1 a month to the various creditors. I have 2 children that live with their mother that im paying £300 a month too and i just do not have any spare money at all to pay this fine.

Can somebody please give me some advice as they have told me that they are coming back on Monday evening ..

Thanks

bailiffadviceonline.co.uk will be able to advise. There is a small charge but they seem to be worth it. Herbie sometimes posts on here and other parking forums.

I thought if you didn't pay fines, then you go to prison?

When someone I knew had a fine that they couldn't pay (albeit the fine was for different reasons), they were pulled back in front of the judge and I think they agreed another payment plan, with the warning that if they didn't stick to it, they would go to prison.
