Stopped paying into NHS pension and got taxed?

Jess,
Glad you are staying put. And if you do get made redundant, and have to get a job in the private sector, your old LG pension will be the best thing you will have to look forwards to in your retirement even if you start a new one elsewhere.
In the mean time, tell your friends at work that Unison is telling porkies and for them to stay put as well.
Thank you, I will work on it. The pension scheme was the deciding factor for me to work at local government. Back when jobs were abundant, I was working at another authority but was unhappy. I applied for my current position and a prison Officer and got offered both jobs around about the same time. I chose to stay in local government because the pension scheme was much better.
Without meaning to start a huge debate about Unions and their worth, I'm not even in the union anymore. I used to be. Then the both times I needed them I feel they let me down, so decided to keep my £11.27 a month and just ring ACAS if I ever needed advice.0 -
I hope you are investing that 11.27/month ;-)0
