You also have to remember that as the CSA is now being taken under the Gov's wing again, then all the cases that were handled by C-MEC will have to have been dealt with under Company law, which will mean that a number of case will have been dealt with by the Courts and as such as it was pushed through with out this caveat being taken into account, and as there is no contract to bind the NRP to make any payments what so ever, then all of those cases in theory are now unsafe in law! I do hope that the Court of Appeal can cope with the number of application that will flow through their door!

So again the poor old tax payer will have to pick up the bill, again!!! Anyone want to have a go at how big the compensation bill alone will be?

The Green Paper hasn't been signed off by the much-vaunted MPs - nothing will change until ministerial sign-off.

The "welfare reform bill" which includes the changes to child maintenance is now at the committee stage at the house of lords it should not be long now until it goes to royal assent, the green paper on child maintenance cosultation finished in april this year.
I know that once the bill is passed (after the 3rd reading in the house of lords then goes to royal assent) then it is down to the individual departments to implement the changes, and how long it will take. They do plan to run the new gross income scheme for new customers for the first 6 months only. Then after that anyone on the other 2 schemes will be invited to join the new scheme. This is when they plan to introduce the charges. The CSA will send out paperwork to the PWC stating that there scheme will be closing 3 months before and that they should try and make different arrangements using the new "gateway"So hopefully i will get my invite about march/april 2012?? of course i will!! LOL. I have recieved emails dating back to oct last year stating that the new scheme will start in 2011!! from the CSA so i wouldn't hold your breath, but one can only hope that the CSA can get things right for once not like they did back in 2003,
  • The consultation on the green paper ended in April, however nothing further will happen until it's a white paper...which won't happen until it gets ministerial sign off.
  • Received an email from the house of lords stating that the welfare reform bill is now nearing the end of the committee stage in the house of lords, after that it is the 3rd reading then it goes to royal assent. It then becomes law!! We shall se!!!
Are you still in shock countryboy?? or are the CSA back onto you??
  • Hi

Yes still slightly in shock and still await a brown envelope to tell me that she has re-opened the case, although I'm not sure if she would have to wait a certain number of weeks before doing this?
  • I think that most NRP's dread getting one of those brown letters from the CSA. Why don't you take the bulls by the horns and speak to the options branch of the CSA, they are more for private agreements, you don't have to give no details just ask for some advice about a private agreement you might strike lucky with them they don't seam as pro PWC as the CSA do!! On the other hand you might have been selected to take part in the trials of the new scheme ( which i doubt!!LOL) but fingers crossed!! anyhow mate best of luck i hope its works out better for you!!
