I've been reading some of the threads on this forum and would like to know how can you have two ebay accounts. Some of you have a seller account and a buyer account. How is this possible when they have your email address and how you manage with paypal payments in and out of the two accounts.
Any advice wuld be appreciated

you could use a seperate email address
such as msmoneypenny@hotmail.co.uk and then msmoneypenny@hotmail.com or others
you can then give these emails out to paypal etc, you can give paypal the same credit card or different as you wish
hope this helps

If you use free email accounts, such as hotmail, ebay make you provide a credit card number to prove your identity.
However if they are email addresses from your ISP, and most ISPs let you have a number of email addresses, then you don't need to provide a credit card number to create a buying account.0 -
That isn't always the case - I was with NTL Broad band - but e-bay still insisted on having my CC details

When I gave Paypal the same card on a second account they refused to take the registration as the card was registered to another account.

eBay does accept email addresses from webmail/free email accounts, you just have to choose the right ones. I have over 30 eBay accounts as I get £3.00 from rpoints each time I open one!0

Hi Ms-Money-Penny
In answer to your question, you can have 3 or 4 eBay account if you want (as far as I am aware). The important thing to remember is that all the information on each account MUST be correct or you risk losing all of your accounts if any of them are suspended. If you want 2 eBay accounts, you must have a seperate e-mail address for each one. This isn't a problem now as it is so easy to get a free e-mail account from Hotmail etc.
In terms of Paypal, you can have several email addresses all belonging to your one paypal account. I have 2 linked to mine, it used to be 3. This way, if you have several email addresses, if a buyer sends payment to the other email address, you will still get the money.

30 eBay accounts!! That's crazy. If you ever have a problem with just one of them (I presume you only use 1 of them) you will probs find that they are ALL suspended and you will find it almost impossible to get back on.skdotcom wrote:eBay does accept email addresses from webmail/free email accounts, you just have to choose the right ones. Is all the contact information the same on every account? Or did you change something slightly in order to make each account different? And with so many accounts I hope you are not tempted to shill bid!!!

I only use one account (which has over 1000 feedback). The others are just to make money from rpoints.
I'm not doing anything dishonest, and whatever I make in doing this only goes part way to offsetting the high eBay/paypal charges I pay as a seller.0
