Selling Motorbike

Hi,

My boyfriend would like to sell his motorbike next year. Is here much point in advertising it now if he doesnt want to sell it until then?

If so where is the best place for him to sell it? EG bike trader, Privately, etc.

With winter fast approaching, unless its a winter hack, it's probably getting a bit late to sell.
Get it ready for a sale next year with a fresh years MOT just before advertising. Fire tax on it too since it's quite cheap.

Biketrader or Motorcycle News are the best places. MCN charge £15 which gives one week in the paper and 6 weeks on their online site.

Many dealers will sell a bike for their customers.

If you want irate buyers phoning up and being upset when you tell them yes you can buy
it but you cant have it until next year.

They will wonder what planet your on.

Then next year people will see it still for sale and wonder why its been advertised for 6 months.
Will avoid thinking its dodgy or offer you £20 for it and something is obviously wrong.

i sold my R6 on gumtree 3 weeks ago, was on 3 hours n gone!! free and easy to use with loads of free pics :-) got a decent price too considering the time of yr (think i just made it though tbh), id wait now anyway till next yr, spend the winter tinkering and cleaning

Yeah, wait till next year is a good plan. He wants to get a bigger one anyway and possibly trade his in.
