Help, really!

Need some help,

We were offered a house a lady was downsizing, and we needed to upsize.
Following a visit to the house, we wanted to persue it. We agreed on a price after 3 valuations, and all was well.
I then sold my house within a week and a half, 5 weeks down the line solicitors all moving quickly, surveys all complete, home buyers report complete, my buyers mortgage agreed, the house we are buying had her mortgage agreed this morning, and deposits on a new house.

And bang!!! my mortgage rejected due to a blooming technicality.
Santander now want me to prove 3 months payslips of a rise I have recently got. We were all set to move on the 1st of November or there abouts.

I called the estate agent and he said not to lose my buyer, but the house we were buying said she will not wait 3 months allowing me to obtain 3 payslips and would put in on the market.

Do I:

A) Pull Out
B) Continue with the sale of our house in a couple of weeks, go into renting and hope the seller to us cant sell her house in 3 months.
C) Still sell and look for something else so I dont lose the buyer.
(The house we were buying was the only reason I was moving, as its a lovely house)

The estate agent is telling me in todays market you must sell to your buyer as you cant guarentee the price he would get for ours and could lose 5-10k

Hope this all makes sense and someone can assist.

Thanks

Ask your employer to provide a letter stating your salary? They should be quite willing to help you on this. If Santander will not accept this, they are muppets.

Do any of your previous payslips show the rise? If it's a raise in the same company it doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

Isn't there a d) try to persuade Santander to lend you the money anyway and an e) try to find another lender?
