Bus drivers are pure evil

My city has recently acquired a guided bus system, and many of the stops on the route require you to buy your ticket from a machine before boarding. This is fair enough, as the machine (when it's working) is easy to use.
Now, quite often somebody will be trying to buy a ticket just as the bus is pulling up, because they got there just in time. Quite often, the bus driver will say to the queue, "Pay on the bus, it'll be quicker," and it is.
So this morning, I was the person who arrived just as the bus did, and I said to the driver, "Should I pay you, or at the machine?"
him: Pay at the machine like everyone else.
As I got off to do so, he drove off! There wasn't another bus for 25 minutes.
what an evil git .
There's no point in complaining to Stagecoach as it'll just find its way into their junkmail folder, or the nearest shredder, so I just thought I'd rant instead.

Then why not go to a stagecoach depot or call them.0 -
Cambridge bus drivers are evil in general. They don't give a tinkers toss about anyone or anything.
I went to pick someone up from the station and managed to end up on the guided bus way just before it opened, having ignored all the signs. I had to reverse back after about 50 metres. I was really worried I was going to be featured on the local news for being such a numpty.
Are there lots of Cambridge people here? If so, that's nice0 -
Whilst I sympathise with your case, OP, your thread title calling all bus drives 'pure evil' somewhat detracts from my sympathy with it's idiocy. What a stupid thing to say.0

Put it for all to see, and Stagecoach will find it harder to ignore.
Bus drivers here are lovely though. Except on the number 6...something about that route that makes people grumpy.Squirrel! If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.
Now 20% cooler0 -
Why Cambridge went with this stupid guided bus way is a mystery when a tram wouldve been the better option.
Thats for another thread though"If you no longer go for a gap, you are no longer a racing driver" - Ayrton Senna0 -

Going to a stagecoach depot would involve getting a bus there... kinda invalidates the protest and they wouldn't do anything anyway, nor would a phonecall.

Come now, everyone's entitled to a little hyperbole in a rant. It wouldn't be a rant otherwise :P.www.fixmytransport.com

I shall have to have a gander at that.
