Car warranty issue Ford Focus
Options
Ive had a ford focus almost 3 months 2006 model it came with 3 months warranty although the garage is quite a distance away. Recently the engine light came on so i rang the warranty company and they said take it anywhere i want but advised against taking it to ford because of the cost , so I took it to local garage who couldn't figure it out and said it best go to ford
took it to ford and warranty doesn't cover diagnostic so after 4 days there ford say it needs a new turbo. The car has 57k on clock and full service history but warranty company are considering not paying as they feel it could be caused by wear??!!!
Anyone else had this issue , is it normal for them to have to send someone round to the ford dealer to inspect it and if they don't pay up it means i have to pay ford for taking my car apart and back together for the inspector??
Thanks in advance
Debt free - celebrated by buying this car and probably soon to be out of pocket!

That's the reason I wouldn't touch an extended warranty with a barge pole.
Anything the needs replacing or goes wrong in a car is down to wear and tear. The only way a part won't wear out is if you don't use the car and leave it standing on the drive.
Thinking back over the last 20 years, I cannot think of any part on any car that I have had to replace that wasn't caused by wear and tear - track rod bush and arm, clutch, steering bracket, water pump, alternator, constant velocity joint, radius arm."There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0
