Can I re-claim? LLoyds TSB

Hi there, I have a lloyds tsb credit card, I was offered it back in 1997 whilst I had a TEMPORARY christmas job the job was for 6 weeks with a chance that it became permanent (which it did)
They gave me this card and included PPI on it, as my statements came in I noticed the ppi payment but just thought it was something I had to have it was never explained to me.
In 2008 I complained to LLoyds tsb about the misselling of my ppi and after lots of letters etc their "final response" came through the door it says--
You have asked us to refund all of the premiums paid for your PPI because you were working fewer than 16 hours per week when I took out the policy, you believe that you were ineligible for the cover.
I should explain that although you were working for less that 16 hours per week you were still eligible for cover under the accident, sickness and life sections of the policy and COULD also benefit from the positive job solutions (never heard of this)
If your circumstances changed and you started working for more than 16 hours each week then you MAY have become eligible for the unemployment, sickness and accident sections aswell as the above.
Then it goes on about terms and conditions etc......
as you can see they haven't said anything about the way it was sold to me.
At the time of this letter I had loads of stuff going on and didn't have the energy to go any further with this but now after reading about the new rulings etc I am thinking that I ould re- complain but can I?
I really hope so. I haven't got every statement from all those years ago but but the couple I have got have got £1400 spent on them and I was paying around £10 per month PPI, I cancelled the PPI around 2006/7 so I think I will have paid a fair amount.
Thanks in advance for your help

Hi
Personally I would write back to them and say, even if it did cover you for other matters, you do not agree that you should have been paying for something that did not cover you in FULL, yet you were paying full ppi payments for.
Tell them its unfair they have not taken into account your reasons to make a reclaim, as you have a genuine complaint and don't feel it was sold in your best interest.
Give it another shot, I would, and anything else you can think of that applies to you, let them know as well, good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Thank you, I feel ready for the battle again!!
Do I need to fill in one of their online complaint forms or should I just write another letter?0 -

Your welcome
Lloyds are pretty lenient and will accept letters or a reclaim questionnaire.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"
