I am looking for accommodation (Hotel or Apartment) for 4 to 6 people may be a couple more. Thompson do not have anything until May. Does anyone else know of a cheap Apartment or Hotel for 3 Nights (1 - 4 Feb).
Arriving at GIRONA at 10pm. What is the best/cheapest way to travel to Costa Brava. Trying to avoid car rental if I can.
Regards,
sca

Your biggest resort is lloret, in FEB its pretty quiet, a lot of bars are closed so you maybe want to try a hotel. The GUITART hotels are cheap AI s . Food is just edible. In winter they have loads of (5 foot with beige tanktop )Spanish OAPs on their "Free" week.(Why cant our GOV do that?) so catering and entertainment is geared to them.
Id prebook a taxi with shuttledirect. Its a bit more but any time Ive been Qs at the rank are murder. (40 Euro EW)
Alternative resorts like Malgrat, Callella, Blanes although even quieter, have the advantage of being on the railway to Barcelona.0 -

Blanes is actually your best option as it is a commercial town as well as a resort and has a large local population. Also easy to get anywhere else by local bus or train .
Some facilities will be closed of course as it is winter but a good selection remain open for the locals, also the best time for value and quality .
