I've just checked and i've still got approx 150 units (on the pre May 2011 tariff) on my Phoenix meter so that should keep me going for another while.
I read it can take up to 6 weeks to complete the transfer so perhaps i should get it under way at the moment.
I was reading through the FAQ on the Firmus site and it says that even if you have a lot of credit left on your meter you can switch and then it quotes "if the monetary difference between Firmus & Phoenix prices for the natural gas left on your meter is more than £10 Phoenix will refund this to you" By my calculations i think i'm just below the £10 difference.
Definately going to get this underway - out to the meter with a lamp i go!!0
