i popped into boots this am for my meal deal and noticed that the cards and paper were all half price- no need to wait till boxing day to get them!!!! :j:T

Sorry if this has been posted before - but apparently the FCUK bag wasn't exactly a hit so now it is down to £30 both online and in my local store (original price £45, not sure how much the OOTW price was). Still a saving, although I won't be getting one.

In addition, someone mentioned christmas cards - I discovered yesterday that they were nearly sold out in my store. The cards as well as wraps and crackers etc have been half price for I think about three weeks.

Hope people don't think I'm having a rant at Boots but just thought it was worth mentioning this in case it catches anyone else out.

I ordered the No.7 set with the free gift online on 2 December, for collection in store. I received a confirmation email saying 'collect on or before 8 December'.

It still isn't available for collection as of 12 December.

This was my first order with Boots and I checked and double-checked both the email and the website and no-where did it say that this was an estimated date.

I wrongly assumed that I would definitely be able to collect on 8th at the latest, as it didn't say estimated, and by saying 'on or before' it looks as though they have already built some contingency in. I also thought that as it was a store collection, they could perhaps be more accurate as they are not relying on the postal service.

Phoned CS and they said they have to allow up to 48 hours after the date in the email for the goods to be dispatched from their warehouse! This is not mentioned anywhere.

Just a heads up, if you don't know the system and you're thinking of getting something as a present - don't rely on the delivery date!

I popped into Boots to get the hat box and checked my card in the machine. I was surprised that I only had three offers but they were good ones. I got 30 extra points when I bought my meal deal ... 350 extra points when I spent £35 ... and £2 off ANY lipstick or mascara. The £2 off worked on the £1.99 Natural Collection lipstick. I also got the free No 7 gift with my hatbox.

In a cold sweat about S & G, (if only our children and family knew the lengths we go to at Christmas time!) won't make ot to my local Boots until nearly 10 and am getting all past myself thinking they will be sold out as they aren't a very big store!

Is the No7 included in the 3for2 - only it's listed in the 3for2 section but doesn't have a green present icon next to it? Why list it in that section online if it's not included??
