  • I too am slightly disappointed with Boots OOTW this year. It does not seem anywhere near as good as previous years. The items seem slightly more expensive and you do not seem to get as much for your money.

Having said that I am looking forward to the Soap and Glory offer that is usually on the week before Christmas.

Does anyone know what other offers will be coming up at all for OOTW?
  • I agree, I've not been remotely tempted by any so far, they seem to have inflated the original prices even more than usual for less contents, because they know no-one buys them at full price, at most people pay two thirds as part of the 3-4-2, or they pay 50% when on OOTW or in the sale.

I thought I'd get myself a Soap and Glory one, but I've just had a look at the contents and am a bit disappointed tbh. There seems to be quite a few products I don't particularly use, whereas in previous years I liked most of them.

Also I really dislike the bag which is pink with red graffiti! I still use my hatbox and pink and brown bag to hold toiletries as they look really nice, but I don't think this bag looks much. I'll probably get one if it's £25 but not bother if it's £30

I think the OOTW is only disappointing if its something you dont like.

I have bought the Boss set - bargain!

Love the Sanctuary stuff if it is indeed OOTW - makes a great pressie for SIL.

S&G is everything I use and more.

Last year there were some damp squibs in the middle of the OOTW - who can forget the Strictly make up stuff! LOL
  • I must admit that I too bought the Boss Orange set as I use this perfume anyway so it was a good bargain.

I agree with faithless that the S&G set this year is abit disappointing and the packaging is not really in line with its retro look. I will probably get one as well though if they are £25 but any more than that and I dont think I will bother.

Oh my goodness, the Strictly stuff! They had piles and piles of it at my locals, it was hideous, lol! Boots must have signed a contract for a few years though as i'm amazed to see it again this year, and the Fearne range too.

Boots are so overpriced, there is a little soldier egg cup set for £8, the exact same item is in sainsbury's for £5 and Sains aren't known for being cheap either so goodness knows what Boots' mark up is!

hiya everyone, been working out on the calendar theres 5 fridays till xmas. :j sanctuary is this fridays offer- so it should be that we get (dunno what order tho)GOK, FCUK, S&G and 1 other- am thinking maybe strictly again  as its a full page ad in xmas catalogue . and its dearer than the fearne set and no 17 set, so i doubt it will be them. and i will be very surprised if its a mens 1 as none of them are that dear they need to go to ootw. cant see put else in the book that it may be. i dont think it will be the no 7 case as they had the no 7 serum set as ootw few weeks ago. as soon as i hear from my friend- you lot will be the 1st to hear. my friend did say that the S&G have come into the storeroom, :T so its there to put out- could well be before the last week???? but am just speculating- dont want to get yr hopes up (or mine)!!!!!!:rudolf::xmassmile:snow_laug:santa2::snow_grin:xmassign::xmastree:

when there's an offer of the week, it deffo isnt in the 3 4 2. theyre not that generous( althou i think they should be!! lol).

when there is a shopping event you can't use any coupons that you may have got in the post, the tills wont accept them and it wont let staff overide it either( i no coz my friend tried for me).

on a normal day you can use a double points coupon (in the post), and an extra points coupon together- the tills recognised that. :rudolf::xmassmile:snow_laug:santa2::snow_grin
  • I have just found the following info on the main MSE home page: -

I agree boots is well over priced and this xmas put it in a box make it look pretty and up the £ is wearing thin, you can buy the products on 342 without the packaging that goes in the bin anyway and still it is cheaper than the 342 gifts.

I have not bought an OOTW but will get the sanctuary and the soap and glory ones love them but last year priced up individually the soap and glory and it worked out a lot cheaper to buy it that way so I did.

Sometimes, not sure about this soap and glory OOTW but they give you less ml per £ than if you bought it loose
