Help - All BBC Channels have disappeared

Earlier today BBc 1 went off and said "no signal". Now all BBC channels have gone.
Tried retuning (lots) and they are gone! Tried a reset and still gone! Yikks - where have they gone!
It's a TV with built in freeview with an indoor ariel. Another TV in the house still has BBC?
Any help welcomed. Thank you

Put your postcode into this site and see what has been happening at your local transmitter.
Strange that retuning hasn't picked up the channels.
Are all the other channels working okay? Is it just the BBC ones?
Sounds like an issue with the BBC transponder but whether that is with your setup such as Aerial or whether it is the transmitter itself only checking the site will show.0 -
try looking here http://freeview.co.uk/ or http://www.radioandtelly.co.uk/freeviewhelp.htmlEarlier today BBc 1 went off and said "no signal". Now all BBC channels have gone.

As an alternative until you can get everything back to normal you can use a service such as http://tvcatchup.com/ to watch live TV.0

Thank you guys. I have checked that transmitter site now (good to know about this one), it says there are no problems!
Now reading the freeview help site (thanks Mark) and am thinking it is probably my wee areial maybe having a bad day.
Going to try and connect another areial to see if that solves it.
Thanks again!0 -

Having reread your original posting, I have had exactly the same issue - we have a TV upstairs which can not get hardly any freeview channels - yet the TV downstairs gets loads ... so I suspect my issue is that it is a ariel issue!

Indoor aerials are far from ideal, if it is one with a built in amplifier, then the gain needs to be adjusted, best bet is to get a 2nd connection from the roof/loft aerial to the offending TV.0 -
Thank you DUTR. I think your right about indoor arieals. l think I've just been lucky that it has worked up until now. Time for an ungrade! Thanks for your reply0

its the bbc cuts it is there turning one tele off at a time

no have look for a booster box they about 6 quid in wilkinsion boost your signalReplies to posts are always welcome, If I have made a mistake in the post, I am human, tell me nicely and it will be corrected. If your reply cannot be nice, has an underlying issue, or you believe that you are God, please post in another forum. Thank you0 -
Yeah indoor aerial's are not the best, unless you are in a strong signal area, adding an extra booster won't do much.
If your other TV is connected via an external aerial, then that is your best option. Have a masthead Amplifier as close as you can to the aerial and run the cable to both tv's from there.Mansion TV. Avoid at all cost's :j0 -
Hahahahaha. Thanks Jamespir - love your reason!!!! Defo the arieal - going to invest in a new one. Thanks for all the help :rotfl:0
