Hadn't been in there since January this year and they must get so many customers passing through, that I thought there is no way they would recognise me. Oh how wrong I was. As the member of staff asked me to take a seat, he said "haven't you been in before?". From the tone of his voice, he wasn't simply making conversation with me but had actually recognised me. I made up some story which I thought he had believed but he was still rather attentive throughout the visit. Think I'll give the store a miss for a year.
I had something similar in a local phone shop last week - think I'll stop doing that one for a while (I was last in there in May but seemingly my face was "memorable" as the member of staff said).0 -
Just thought I'd post as I'm taking a break from a report for TNS- the train station company. *slits wrists* lol. Anyone with any humourous floor shows this week? They always make me laugh!0

Ha ha, I think betting shops are second only to the ff places for floor shows.
Perhaps they need to ask in the pre assignment quiz "are you or can you act like an old perv!"
lolz, I think they should. The scenario was ridic I think (for RE). There's one shop where you have to be a regular betting shop customer, fair play. This one you didn't, and you're basically asking to be shown how to place a bet. So nobody who was a regular customer would ever ask that, which is fine, but then they wanted you to stay in there for 15 minutes?! And do what?! The placing the bet took about 3 minutes, I obviously wasn't a regular customer and I wasn't about to stand next to these weirdos* (*note, not calling all betting shop customers weirdos, but they all were in THIS shop!) pretending to watch horse racing for 10 minutes, then sidle up to the desk and go, oh how do you place a bet?
Sighhhhh! Give me burgers any day!0 -

I sent a PM to the board guide upon creating the thread, even put in a link to it. Maybe they're on holiday?0 -
Stupidly didn't specify which showing of the film I wanted to watch and ended up with a 9.30 ticket. Filled in most of the report, what else can I do to waste time?0

I have a question about the red catalog shops with ABAi. Until I accept the job, I can't access the full briefing notes.
I think I have read you have to purchase an item, then take it back. Is that correct, and would anyone know how long you have to keep it before returning it?
Also is the time frame in the notes, just for the initial purchase, or the return as well?
Thanks.0 -
You have to return the item after 45 minutes, but it has to be on the same day as the purchase. If you need any more help, I have the briefing notes.0

Thanks very much cyprus31.
Do you know if the return has to be within the time frame given for the purchase. I would be going after work and I could make the purchase by the stated time, but 45 mins later would be outside the times given on the briefing.0 -

You have to return it within the timeframe. So essentally you have a 4 hour window for purchase and return. You can't return after the times stated.0
