Have had an email from TNS about the bonus for phone shops but as a "you have been assigned to this shop" type one. Goes through to the shop log where it shows it as received but at a payment of zero. Will see if a little money filters through at some point.....

When do RA tend to pay - I did a job at the beginning of December so presume it won't be paid yet.

Anyone know when Gyp will pay?
I wonder if MS companies holding data on shoppers, linking our sign up data and the forum details, breaches thr data protection act. Our data can only be used for the purposes set out in the application forms and it would be illegal to use that data for other purposes, should as tracking an individuals online presence.

Grey area that one, a lot of what is being said on the internet is currently being tracked by Market Research companies to help brands make decisions on what they are getting right and what they are getting wrong etc. No specific legislation covering it yet but no test cases on it yet either.

Personally I do believe its a breach of data protection and other privacy laws but there is nothing concrete to point either way.

I just had a missed call from Gap - tried the advice from on here and emailed them saying I just missed your call, ring me back please, and they rang STRAIGHT back... to say I'd won one of the chicken/pizza prize draws!! Not the big burger one, but the chicken/pizza one is enough for a pair of new jeans in the sales from Next.... (jeans of choice) - so I'm feeling warm and fuzzy towards them at the moment!

That's why I was wondering as I hadn't been paid and so assumed there must be a longer time from doing the job to being paid. Maybe I should have asked how long from the job to being paid rather than when payment happens (I do very few jobs for RA so am less knowledgeable about how often they pay)

I thought it was the month after you did your assignment but I got paid for the two pharmacy visits on 1 and 6 December today... heard both around the 20th and the first week of the month before, so maybe they have two payment runs - who knows

The DPA does state that anyone collecting and storing data has to be used for that purpose only. Therefore, if they use that data for identifying you on forums, that are misusing the data (using it in manner for which they have not sought permission). Whilst they could prob. justify it to track down shoppers writing unprofessional comments - it would be applicable to use to track down other comments, especially people making honest comments. Interesting, but until someone actually intends never to work again, probably never find out lol
