If I remember rightly, I rang them and left a message on their answerphone saying that I could do a certain cinema the first time.

I didn't receive a phone call in return but I did receive an email confirming the assignment and, from then on, I've received emails every time a trailer check comes up.

That's what happened to me! Except I didn't get assigned the first job, but I did the next and thereafter they came by email.

The RE Posh Chicken ones are a bit weird aren't they? You can choose any meal but the max spending is so low that unless you're willing to go over that at your own expense you're very limited. Also you have to ask for names of the server, etc if they're not wearing a name badge which I always think is a bit creepy/obvious you're a MS :o

Welcome to mystery shopping my love. That's what it is all about. Very rarely do you get meals where the reimbursement actually covers the total price. I don't bother with the RE chickens. It's far too pricey and the chicken is practically raw. I like my meat well done.

Also, asking for the names is not that bad. What's bad is when they send you to a stamp shop and ask about redbush tea or something bizarre. Or my favourite is when they send you to an electric store and enquire about something worth a good few hundred and then make a purchase for about £5 at the end. LOL!

Doubt it my love. I got an email saying my reports had been done really well (God knows how, it took me forever going back and forth linking this to that and what not). Mine are all on there.

To be fair, I don't think any of the staff were briefed properly about what we were asking about. I got told in each store I did that the thing we were asking about was absolutely carp! Me thinks everyone has been re-trained and we are going to see if any difference has been made. HTH.

Shame we can't do them again :P Thanks for the info :)

I've been MSing for 7 years now and used to stingy reimbursements but this one really is mean! You have to go for the absolute cheapest of everything to stand a chance of staying under the £8 reimbursement. The also say they won't reimburse you the service charge - I don't think I'll be leaving one but thanks anyway lol

Take a look at the RE pizza briefing. Minimum spend = total reimbursement. Spend less don't get paid, spend more no extra reimbursement.
This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.

Gosh those don't often come up in my area so I've never looked at the details, that really is a bad deal.
  • Just wondering if anyone had heard of MSJobBoard - I just got an unexpected invite from them and am doubly wary since my email filter send it straight to the junk file.

Are they legit and should I sign up with them, or should I send it straight back to the junk pile where I found it?

    Ta! :D
