RA is really bizarre with the visits it classes as 'My Area' - completely miles away, then I search elsewhere in the country and find things a lot more local.
Helion frustrates me no end, my county isn't even LISTED so the next nearest counties all provide unhelpful suggested assignments that are miles away. Managed to get a self-storage place for Sunday, will see how that goes!0 -

Hmmm... may drop them an email then. I did a few chemists for them about a year ago and found them easy to deal with and quite liked them so its a shame that I haven't seen anything else since!0 -

Number of calls completed within the last 90 days: ***
Number of calls released within the last 90 days: 3

% of calls completed on time (completed and uploaded before the deadline) 100%

Reliability Score 99%
Perhaps because I live in a large city (not London) they have lots of work in my area and I can cover a fairly large number of jobs without too much travel, they are more accomodating.
I live in a large non-London city too and did cover a fairly wide area (generally to get the petrol money so I could pick up jobs in other cities that wouldn't have been worth travelling to without the travel expenses). Whilst I did cancel a few jobs, usually for illness, the ones I did were always completed on time and submitted the same day. I also did pick up a few last-minute urgent jobs for them.
I suspect if you'd had to talk to Andy, he would have taken a similar attitude to you that I had to endure - I always telephoned to cancel, because that way you know you've actually spoken to someone and got a name and they can't claim they didn't get your email or something silly like that - I'd previously spoken to other people who were helpful, but on this occasion I got through to him, possibly as I was on the job when I became very faint and queasy, but didn't want to actually walk out without speaking to someone.
I spoke to him a few days later and he had the exact same belittling and patronising attitude, so it's not like I spoke to him when he was having a bad day (not that that would be an excuse). On both occasions I was polite and reasonable, so it's not like I'd said something to get his back up (again, not an excuse for someone in his position even if I had).ChickenGirl wrote: »Well, I feel a bit better about that. You just always wonder about the companies that don't accept you or don't seem to have any jobs in your area. You wonder if they are the company with loads of high paid work just around the corner, but sadly I'm beginning to realise they probably aren't - mix and match always seems the best policy.
Haha, I know what you mean. I wasn't immediately accepted and I thought their jobs must be the best thing since sliced bread. Doh!And whilst I don't lose any sleep over not being taken on by Gap (I think they have enough shoppers in my area) - it seems it doesn't take much for them not to pay you! - I do wonder how much free petrol I'm missing out on :rotfl:

Stone me, IMS responded to one of my emails! I was sure I'd have to pester them on the phone. Apparently I am not receiving the bonus as I was promised, as I did not meet one of the conditions I hadn't been told about. Convenient.
At least I can get rid of that flipping parcel that's been taking up space in my room for six weeks.0 -

Same here it was listing a place that is about 2 hour drive away, when I searched further my local town was there with a job thats 15 mins away.0 -
I work with Shopper Anonymous. Good company, nice range of jobs and fair fees. They do have a lot of reimbursement only stuff though too. Overall I enjoy working with them anyway and the staff are all great.
Thanks. I shall give them a go and see what sort of jobs I get in my area.0 -

Max is the best.
Omgosh, I've just done a load of market research surveys and an eDigi back to back. I have square eyes. I suddenly had a panic that eDigi was due tomorrow as they came in last week while I was ill, but I have another week, phew.
Just had a funny chat as a certain food place is querying a report asking whether it was traffic noise that meant I couldn't hear the drive through lady. No, it was the mumbling.0 -

Shouldn't matter either way! If the traffic noise is that bad then they need to turn the speakers up!0
