OH and me have decided we need to change our aging Mondeo (13yrs old), and for various reasons, have narrowed to down to 3 choices. We would appreciate any advice anyone could give - good or bad - from our choices.

1st choice is a 3 yr old Citroen c4 picasso
2nd is a 3yr old Ford C-Max
3rd is a 2 yr old Vauxhall Zafira

All three are similar engine size and spec level, but would like any opinions

C-max, in my opinion the best of the 3.

i dont like french cars, they seems to be made of cheese. and i simply prefer the ford to the zafira.

Is that the newer Zafira? If not it is a very old car by now. Agree C-Max. The French one is likely to be a bag of electrical gremlins.

    5t.
What if there was no such thing as a rhetorical question?

I’m not sure why people keep knocking Citroens I’ve had 2 and my wife has had 3 and they have all been very reliable.

You dont but Citroens with your own money unless its a pocket money runaround that you throw away.

C-Max or Zafira, C-Max gets my vote but how much are you spending?

Why not another mondeo? MK3 onwards always got a thumbs up from tests. Even top gear liked it, Also fifth
    gear like them.

What more could you ask lol.

It is very true about French Cars. About 20 years ago I was parked next to someone who was trying to sort out his electrical problems himself and he looked very frustrated. The biggest oddity though was that the spare tyre was housed in the engine bay

As I said we have had 5 Citroens between us and they have all been very reliable and they perform above average in reliability index. Spares in normal space and full size unlike Focus I have now. I must admit Focus has been very good too unlike the escorts I had earlier.
