To the person who said tht a ftse tracker is a 7/10 I'm surprised, but thanks.
It is not uncommon for people to think that they are safer than they are. We have seen in on the forum a lot. However, no-one has really been able to tie down the source of misinformation.
The FTSE can lose 50% in a short period. Medium risk tends to be more around 30%.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -

Try this website if you really want to gamble...................Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.0 -
Marcus Collins. Currently trading 60% down! Bad day on Wall Street. And if, you know, your history...0

Sorry, make that 40%And if, you know, your history...0

Tonight is the night that Marcus stakes his claim. I think links aren't allowed on this site but my sports/gambling website has called the acts to be eliminated both weeks so far and reckon Frankie tonight. Know this isn't really financial but if Marcus has a good show tonight my "investment" will be in profit I fancy. And if, you know, your history...0

dump it into a tiddler drilling for oil and gas on the moon or similar.0

If I put £100 on a horse and it wins at 100-1 I've got £10100 less tax. In one afternoon. Shares rarely match that. What's the problem?
eejit alert!

The major difference between gambling and share ownership that everyone seems to have missed, is that even with tiny cap oil explorers, if they go belly up, theoretically you still have ownership of their assets. Your horse loses the race, you don't get a share of the glue...I am an IFA, but nothing I say on this forum constitutes financial advice. Always draw your own conclusions and always do your own research.0

Agree qpop, penny shares are risky, I've had some 10 baggers in my time and also some flatliners. They're talking about Asian Citrus Holdings and DDD Group on the Traders Own activity board0
