Tesco Electrical bargains - NO SWAPPING/NO SELLING! [New thread]

This thread is intended to continue discussion, and permit posting of products and prices, of recent cheap electrical items at Tesco stores. Original thread is located at https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3459353 and was closed due to the number of posts offering items for trade/sale. Was suggested to start a new thread so thought I might take the torch and start you all off
.
Note that trading is against forum rules, as highlighted in the new sticky post. Far be it from me to tell everyone what to do, but those are the rules and I didn't make them
NO SELLING/NO SWAPPING/NO BEGGING FOR ITEMS! (In case you missed it).
See http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=47414441&postcount=2905 for the latest list by UkMark.
If you have a complaint regarding a store, particularly if a manager is involved, it is best to email Chief Executive's Office: philip dot clarke @ uk.tesco.com (thanks to izzeyb for info).
For lists of stores with functioning price checking scanners see https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3363450

I had given up trying to get any bargains...however...
Just returned from the H#nley branch where I picked up a pair of Nicky Clarke Hairstraighteners (NSS028 & barcode: 5011773035354) for £8.17. Cheapest I can find online are £40. They did have another pair but the box was knackered. Oh & they also had some others they had marked down to £5 but it was a brand I had never heard of.
There were 2 lovely women putting cheap/discontinued stock out showing me all these cheap products but all I was looking for were straighteners.
They also had some male grooming products, might have been a Philips hair clippers for £2.04 & a grooming set for £6 or £7.0 -
Hi, went to the denton Homeplus last night and they didnt have a single thing people that had been listed, but however the staff were running round with lists and shouting down the aisles to each other, grabbing what they could and running into the back, i managed to grab a word with one of them and she said that she herself had been on here and they had spoke to head office who had advised they could print off these lists and purchase things as long as they were on a break or had finished their shift. so i asked if i could look at the list and she said no because she hadnt finished grabbing what she wanted. i asked her if there were any galaxy tabs and she said they never even made it to the shelfs everyone had already purchased them and that they even have a cpl on delivery for a cpl of other staff.
on one hand i think its shocking how they was behaving, every member of staff on the shop floor was running around nobody wanted to help except this one woman and thats only because i collared her whilst she was grabbing a quilt cover from the top shelf. but on the other hand we would all take advantage in a similar situation, Just a bit gutted iv trudged round loads of tescos tryin to find some bargains and all i got was a superglue multi pack for 50p lolAbsolutely gutted and heartbroken0 -
I so wanted the Braun Cruzer4. Thought id get it when i had some money (Thinking it wa not ba at £40) - if only i'd picked one up and asked them to scan it. Might have a look on ebay see if anyones selling them cheap, or does anyone know of anywhere else people might be selling these?
cheers0 -
Shoot - i thought it mean No Swapping/Selling - but asking for a free one was ok. Damn somepeople jump up and down easy - take a chill pill Sherbert.
BIG THANKS to Smorie - Just bagged one of these from Sainsbury for £17.99. Again Thank YOU!0 -
Hi - thanks for the new thread. Just wanted to say, I have a fair way to travel to get to T's, so cannot get there that often. I have been to a couple of my closest stores a few times, with the latest lists, and I have to say that it does take ages to try and check everything - especially as no self scanners so have to keep going to CS counter with trolley loads of items, so you have to be pretty thick skinned about it as well. A couple of times i thought i had a binatone satnav which was deffo the one on the list, but it scanned full price. However, i have been fortunate and got 3 or 4 items which I am really pleased with. those who have got lots of things I think were probably the ones that scoured many stores for hours on end - so, if you get a bargain, fab, but be warned - its probably not going to fall into your lap! Anyway, its always about the thrill of the chase as well isn't it - and good luck to those still looking.0

Hi all, how does this all work then? Ive looked at the list, but i assume not every store has loads of this gear in stock? Do i just go to my local store (which is a T EXtra) and then hunt around?
Are the prices on the tickets or do i have to get them to scan them for me to find out?
thankz0 -
