Brilliant tips! Love the one about dishwasher tabs - will do that myself! I have just bought a recon dishwasher for £40 from a charity shop. Do you know if it's cheaper to use the powder or tablets for the dishwasher?
I buy value tablets - i do add a squeeze of value washing up liquid if im washing really dirty dishes (if ive made a roast, or have saved the dishes for a few days to make sure im washing a full load) but apart from that, the cheaper the better for me0 -

Oh great! thanks for that tip!
I was worried that having a dishwasher might be more expensive than hand-washing, but now you've said that...
I did read a tip for washing out your dishwasher..instead of buying the expensive cleaners..use white vinegar!
Which reminds me - that's all I use for cleaning - white vinegar.
Saves a fortune on having a ton of different cleaners!
The only other product i use is washing up liquid.Even when you feel like you have nothing, someone else has far less. Find them and help them. You’ll see why.....0 -
Sorry if it's already been said but I buy supermarket own brand bubble bath at about 50p for a litre, and decant that into a pump bottle and use it as shower gel.
I'm not embarrassed by it though!0 -
Actually I probably shouldn't use cooking oil on low parts of fence or my demented greedy dog will probably lick it all off :rotfl:
Just dont let him out until its dried!! LOL!Even when you feel like you have nothing, someone else has far less. Find them and help them. You’ll see why.....0 -

I cant tell the difference between shower gel and bubble bath any-way...many a time I have run out of shower gel and used bubble bath instead!Even when you feel like you have nothing, someone else has far less. Find them and help them. You’ll see why.....0 -

I have also been known to minesweep kebab's. Some how they just taste better when they are free! :money:
Thats just asking for trouble mate. Either a spiked drink or a kicking off someone who hasnt finished their drink.0 -
You're obviously not as strapped for cash as most of us then if you can afford £900 on food for three of you.
It might seem pointless to you, but for some saving a few pennies can be very important - those saved pennies might be put towards some food that might not otherwise be affordable.
Maybe not. Which is why I mentioned that I might be more fortunate not to have to do these things.0
