Thanks all.
Spoken to all the beneficiaries that are impacted by sale price.
I now have an email from all of them stating that they wish to accept the £144k. I think that clears my legal obligations up quite nicely.
Offer accepted and let's just hope it all goes through smoothly from here.0 -

Just to protect yourself, I think it would be reasonable to get a drive-by valuation from an independent surveyor. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
I doubt the beneficiaries will want to pay for that, as they have all agreed that £144k is acceptable. His best protection is the emails from the people who will benefit.Just to protect yourself, I think it would be reasonable to get a drive-by valuation from an independent surveyor.0 -

The EA wants to get his commission. If push comes to shove his email is not worth anything. An executor cannot be criticised for taking independent advice on a transaction this size, and a drive-by valuation won't cost much. The beneficiaries have no choice about the fee being spent if you decide to get the valuation done. Otherwise, get full written indemnities from then on the £144k sale.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0
