I'm new (
)to this thread mailing, so please be kind 
I had an email from this site re: free office software downloads. I was hoping someone could tell me if they know of any good free downloads for sales tools and databases? I just want to store prospects, sales and activities etc.
I'm looking at setting up a small business but excel is not suitable I feel, so your ideas and links would be welcome please.

You may find something in the Business & Productivity Software section at download.com - see left column for subsections. If you find a few suitable, perhaps we could help you find free alternatives?
Another free 'commercial' alternative to OpenOffice is Sun StarOffice 7 (161Mb download).
