WTC do I need to inform anyone

I started a new job in May working 16 hours a week for which i get wtc and ctc. However recently my boss has asked me if if I would mind doing a few extra hours, to cover sickness and also someone has left but are not being replaced for a few weeks.
I am not being made to do overtime but obviously a bit of extra cash comes in handy. When I renewed my tax credits last time the figures that I gave them off my P60 were based on me working 20 hours from my old job at the same hourly rate as I get now.
As this arrangement is not permanent I am unsure as to whether to inform the tax credits people. I am only doing around 4 extra hours a week as the overtime hours are spread out amongst the rest of the staff.
My second question is should I tell them about a redundancy payment from my last job. I got £360 so on my next P60 will show that I earned an extra £360 than the previous year. I would be grateful if someone can give me some advice as I don't wont an overpayment.

£700 isn't very much redundacy money. I think it is best to tell them, just incase.0 -
Sorry I have altered my post slightly as £700 was my final months wages which included my redundancy of £360.0

There's a 10K disregard, so you should be ok.0

Yes. As in if you earn up to 10K more than the previous year, you won't end up with an overpayment, but your payments the following year will obviously reduce. If you earn over 10K, then you will have an overpayment (I'm not au fait on the maths part, but it's only an overpayment based on anything over 10K, I'm sure someone on here can explain the maths!)0

Well for me to apply for tax credits wage wise it would be difficult. My salary for this year is £12,000 per annum. I only earned £2888 last year (says so on the p60) that is one hell of a jump0 -

If you meet the criteria for applying then you should. From your posts I gather that you only started working not long ago and therefore you won't earn the entire 12K between now and the end of the tax year, thus you won't go over the 10K disregard. You must meet the criteria for applying though.0
