Student Advice re: Utilities
Hi, I've just moved into a house with 3 of my student friends. We're with British Gas but we have a pre-pay metre and have noticed that our out lay has gone from £5 a week to around £15 since the price hikes.
It's been suggested that we get rid of the pre-pay metre, get a credit metre and go direct debit in but should we change providers?
We haven't had a gas bill yet as it was set to a standard quarterly my the previous tennants so when it comes to comparison sites it's pretty difficult to judge if we'll save money and comparison sites don't give us duel quotes if one utility is on pre-pay and the other on receipt of a bill.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
