Hi, had some success claiming PPI back so far but was just looking through old bank statements when I noticed regular payments to HFC and First national from 02 and 01 respectively. In both case the payments only lasted a year or 2 so Im guessing we paid them off with a consolidation loan.
The reference next to the first national payment is a 16 digit credit card style number and the HFC looks like a personal loan number.
HFC used to pull a trick with people who bought goods from currys on interest free credit ( ie if you didnt pay in the allotted time they would stick a load of interest on and an agent would ring you and try and reduce your monthly payments for you ) so I think that could relate to a purchase we made from currys when we bought our house.
The first national, I am a bit miffed as to what it was but Im assuming a credit card.
Does anyone know if first national provided credit cards in other names?
Also is it worth me writing to these companies even though I just have reference numbers?
Any advice would be much appreciated

Hi there
I am not too sure on the answer in regards of National Credit in other names, but maybe others who have dealt with them have done, but with your reasons you can make a reclaim.
Use the account number shown on card to make a reclaim and the one on the loan account for that one.
Hopefully someone will be along to answer to your query in due course, but meanwhile details of how to reclaim below, by completing a reclaim questionnaire as on step 3.

Complete and send to the head office or complaints dept, remember to keep copies as well, good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"
