I'm sure it isn't, buy some teddies, chocolate, sweets, bubbles machine etc0

my 3 week old had a stocking so I am sure a 19month old would love a hamper.“Listen earnestly to anything your children want to tell you, no matter what. If you don't listen eagerly to the little stuff when they are little, they won't tell you the big stuff when they are big, because to them all of it has always been big stuff.”0

Of course its not too young! If nothing else gives you a chance to be excited lol
I would say though, at that age, to keep it simple. Jammies, xmas book, pack of chocolate buttons and perhaps new beaker/flask for night-time drink. They can get overwhelmed easily at this age so wouldn't go ott, they'll get lots on xmas day :j Perhaps a good age to start new traditions, so perhaps a plate for santa, or santa's key which you could bring out every year?
I'm trying to think of one to combine for my girls without it being the size of a bathtub lol so think i'll keep mine simple too, perhaps something crafty. Don't want them to like the christmas eve hamper more than xmas lol :rotfl:

For me the hamper is about everyday things and things to do on Xmas Eve to keep them occupied so never too young.
Mine have new PJ's, toothbrush, toothpaste, bubble bath or lush, flannel, we have done DVD, book, pencils and colouring, hot choc (you could do milkshake), choc's, blanket ... So much you can do.
This year we won't be doing a big one as we are spending the afternoon at the panto (oh no we aren't!) so will just do the basics0 -
of course not

i think its a lovely idea,
maybe include some bath products/lotions ect..
rattles, pjs, maybe small baby books, socks, mittens,
dont forget some nice choccies
you can buy cadburys little stars with the christmas packaging on
keep it festive

My nephew will be 4 months and he's getting one...!

I do them, and did one for my son last year when he was just 12 months. He loved it. I put in the following: Tigger PJs and matching bathrobe, a blue nose friend (me to you range) small one of a moose "chris moose", a book and a pack of buttons. Did DD one very similar last year but with Tinkerbell PJs and bathrobe.
This year I am going to do them with snowman soup and rudolf noses, reindeer food, a new cup each,a pair of PJs and some posh (matey) bubble bath as they love bubbles.Cross Stitch Cafe Member No: 86 :j0 -

My DS will be about the same age as yours at Xmas. I'm doing him an Xmas Eve hamper as well as his stocking on Xmas Day.
As a previous poster said, it will be everyday stuff but when he's older it will be stuff to keep him entertained like a DVD, some craft stuff etc. Although I haven't got his hamper yet, but I do have some ideas:
slipper socks - got these in Primark in the January sales
PJs - I want to film him opening his prezzie's so nice new PJs is a must
Snowman soup
A christmas decoration (I want to get him one every year so that when he's an adult, he has is own collection)0 -
Oh what a lovely idea *didn't have anything like this when I was a child lol*
I think I will just do a mini one this yr as he will only be 16months and money tight
New PJs
I LOVE the idea of xmas decs so he has his own collection when older, what a wonderful idea
maybe a special xmas book
Def going to do the cookies/carrot this yr, he was only 4months last year and I wish I had done it but thought be silly, now kicking self oh well
