How do I remove scratch from laptop screen

I have just made a scratch a 2 inch across my screen of my dell laptop. Can anyone offer suggestions on how to remove it please

You might improve the look of it by applying a screen protector, if you can get one big enough!

If it is a matte finish, the answer is you can't. You just end up with a shiny area around the scratch. Also be aware that rubbing too hard can create pressure marks on the screen. If it is a deep scratch then don't even bother whether glossy or matte screen.
